Frequently Asked Questions

Who makes the Blankets?

The Portland Chapter of Project Linus is always accepting donations of handmade blankets, made with love by our wonderful blanketeers. You don't have to be an expert to create a blanket that is beautiful to a child!

Our chapters' blanketeers include many individuals, quilt guilds, church groups, school children, girl scouts, boy scouts, and senior centers. If you or your group is interested in helping to make blankets, please carefully read and follow all of the blanket guidelines.

If you're not sure where to start or how to make a blanket, we have some simple patterns for you to follow! Start off with a quick and easy fleece blanket pattern. Soon you will be having so much fun that you will want to try your hand at quilting, crocheting or knitting!
