Project Linus Portland/Vancouver
has given more than 95,000 blankets to children in “need of a hug” from our chapter beginning in July 2001.
Each quilt, afghan, or fleece blanket has nurtured a hurting child, in a very positive way. It is an affirmative step toward healing of body and mind. Each hand-made blanket, like a stone tossed into a quiet pond, sends gentle ripples of comfort outward to a hurting child, fearful parents, caregivers, grandparents, friends and community.
Project Linus volunteers help in many ways. You, too, can help by sewing and making blankets, donating fabric, helping during our Thursday Processing Days or making a financial gift.
We are open from 10am to 2pm
on the second, third and fourth Thursdays of the month.
Our workspace is located at 3250 SE 164th Ave.
